The future is here. Your next sex partner could be a robot

One of the strangest things to come out of 2016 must be this new set of super robots. And their job? To satisfy your needs.

Over the last few years, many lonely people have found comfort in real life-looking dolls to be their companions. Some even go to the degree of forming relationships with these dolls and are so satisfied with it, that they have stopped looking for the real thing.

Matt McCullen, the inventor of the “love doll” and CEO of its company, RealDoll have stated that they might be looking into creating a new company solely for the purpose of looking into developing AI for their dolls, so that it will seem like your doll actually enjoys the time its spends with you.

Sex industry is blooming

The sex industry is blooming like never before, and once again we see that the industry is a big leader within development of new technologies. You can thank the industry for many of the technologies you take for granted today, such as blue ray, DVD, online streaming etc.

People are willing to use big money when it comes to sex, and the industry is always looking for new ways to make you pay.

Artificial intelligence

McCullen have already been in the sex doll industry since 1996 and sold over 5000 custom made life-size dolls priced between $5,000 to $10,000.

His company will start selling what they call the Realbotix head which can be attached to any of the previously sold realdolls. The head contains the AI so the doll can communicate and show facial expressions during intercourse. The price for the head will be $10,000.

Then, at a currently unknown timeframe, they will start producing full-size dolls integrated with robotnics and AI with prices varying from $30,000 to $60,000. McCullen is expecting a lot of sales on these dolls.

Android robots to hit the market in 2017

The california based company Abyss Creations will be releasing their “live stock” some time in 2017. Their robots have built in heater elements for the feel of body heat, and sensors that will respond to touch.

David Levy, author of Love and Sex with Robots said: “I’ve no doubt some will find it creepy, but the arrival of sexually responsive robots will have enormous consequences.

“We have already seen rapid changes in human relationships thanks to the internet, mobile devices and social media.

“The next major advance will enable us to use our technology to have intimate encounters with the technology itself – to fall in love with the technology,to have sex with robots and to marry them.”
